Two Centuries of Hummelstown Artists

photo (1) bb scissor

Hummelstown has always been known for its commerce, business, and agricultural activities.  This art show demonstrates that the residents of the Hummelstown area also had time to create, collect and enjoy art.  The art demonstrates an appreciation for the beauty of the area, as well as pride in the buildings and landscapes that help define the community, and make it our home.

This tradition, which originated in the 1800’s with early birth records and prints, survives today with a thriving colony of artists, and will continue thanks to the aspiring artists currently in the Lower Dauphin School System.
